Sixty-nine St. George’s Primary School students were inducted into the National Elementary Honour Society on Thursday.

Parents, teachers and other students were part of the evening ceremony at The Moorings. The inductees, who wore yellow ties, held lit candles as they recited the society’s oath.

St. George’s is the first primary school in the territory to join the United States-based NEHS, according to Principal Claudette Llandover.

“The formation of the St. George’s School Primary Division NEHS is the first stage of our students in a process that can bring recognition in the primary years of those students who commit themselves to achievement,” Ms. Llandover said.
