After executing a search warrant on Oct. 14 at a Greenland home, officers in the Major Crime Team charged Dajshon Benjamin with keeping an illegal firearm, police said.
Besides Mr. Benjamin, 24, others are likely to be prosecuted in relation to the same weapon, according to the Police Information Office.
Police Commissioner Michael Matthews commended his officers for the recent arrests for firearm-related offences.
“These officers push through many hours, well beyond most of us, to bring about these arrests without public fanfare or applause,” he said, adding, “I know what it requires and will constantly give them the praise and support they are due. They deserve it.”
Investigations are continuing in the matter, police said.
