Mr. Faulkner was the winner of the teenage category in an arts and pottery competition organised by the Department of Natural Resources and Labour as part of the month’s celebrations. Also during the ceremony, Chief Conservation Officer Bertrand Lettsome spoke about the importance of protecting the environment.

"The youth are the future and we must protect our environment in order to preserve our future,” Mr. Lettsome said, adding that the environment is the ground on which an economy stands. "We should continue to do our part. Get involved. This is Environment Month. Do your little part and together we would be able to kick this habit that is killing the environment. Together we will move to a sustainable environment for our children and those unborn.”
