Former legislator Andre Penn has been ordered to appear in High Court to answer to charges that he indecently assaulted a minor on multiple occasions over a two-year period. Earlier this week, Magistrate Valerie Stephens committed the case to the High Court after a preliminary inquiry.

Mr. Penn, 42, was arrested in February and charged with four counts of buggery, three counts of indecent assault, and four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13, in relation to alleged incidents stretching from 2006 through 2008.

Mr. Penn, who is the brother of Minister of Health and Social Development Dancia Penn, has denied all the allegations.
